Isabel Fox is a mother, wellness coach, Peloton enthusiast and one of just a handful of female General Partners in the UK. Prior to founding Luminous Ventures, Isabel was head of Venture Capital at White Cloud Capital where she focused on early stage investments in life sciences and healthcare.
With a background in investment banking and private equity turnarounds, Isabel founded and exited two corporate communications firms focused on the route to exit, co-founded two software start-ups (one exit) and been an active angel investor in the UK and US. She has worked in New York, San Francisco and London. At Luminous Ventures, Isabel has the opportunity to invest in visionary founders with breakthrough technologies, and backing deep-tech and science that matters.

Find your passion in life and be the best at it no matter what it is.
2. Worst piece of advice you’ve been given
Most advice is bad advice. Listen to advice as there are many people with more knowledge, insight and expertise but know yourself, be yourself and trust yourself to make well informed decisions that are right for you.
3. What would you tell your younger self?
Don’t let yourself be held back, whether by your own concerns and fears or the opinions of others!
4. What excites you most about the future of your industry?
Developments in deep tech are shining a light on the future of what’s possible in human health – lifesciences, food, healthcare and wellness.
5. Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
I try to navigate my own path and balance time for activities outside of work where creativity, inspiration and relaxation can occur! For me that’s my daughter, cooking, exercise, my horses and dogs and reading – all have served me well to get balance and flow.
