1. Best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Surround yourself with Tier 1 people in everything you do. Always strive to be in the midst of great people and in general it leads to great results.

2. Worst piece of advice you’ve been given?

Anytime the advice has conflicted with my gut. Fortunately I have had the confidence to go with my gut 99% of the time. I often don’t listen to one single advice on any topic. I talk to several folks and triangulate with my gut.

3. What would you tell your younger self?

I say this often. The biggest quality you can have as a younger person is to be curious and follow through that curiosity with action. Be curious, be investigative, move move move to act.

4. What excites you most about the future of your industry?

Democratization. Our industry is incredibly disruptive to every other industry that exists. And we have a unique moment in history to change the future positively, particularly to democratize the benefits for all, not just the few.

5. Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

My son’s school has a key theme this year they are instilling in students. My 7yo Lukas goes around telling our 18mo Enso that he needs the courage to act 🙂 – as related to eating his veggies. I think that sums up my inspiration – the people who have the courage to act because of the mass impact that has.
