Anthony Fletcher

Founder, Believe in Science and previous CEO, Graze

Anthony Fletcher is the founder of Believe in Science. A scientific R&D business that has worked out how to make a doughnut which tastes like Krispy Kreme but has as many calories as a glass of milk.

Before that he was the CEO of Graze, helping it to become the UK’s number one healthy snack brand acquired by leading global consumer group Unilever in 2019.  

Previously, Anthony held various roles at the smoothie business Innocent Drinks. He was originally a scientist conducting research into cancer treatments at Oxford and Princeton Universities.

1. What values are most important to you as a leader? 

Curiosity and how it can uncover new solutions even to the most difficult problems while also leading to development.

2. Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

Richard, Adam and Jon, the founders of innocent drinks where I got my first job.

3. Best piece of advice you have been given?

Always keep learning.

4. What would you tell your younger self?

Eat less carbs and give up alcohol sooner!

5. What has been your most important or profound lesson as a leader?

If you give people the context in the right way you’ll be amazed at what they can do.
